1. Test equipment The test is carried out by the mechanical test equipment described in 7.3.12. The test surface shall be in accordance with the requirements of 7.3.2. The gap shall be in accordance with the requirements of 5.2. For hard floors alone, the surface shall be in accordance with the description in 5.1 or filled with a seamless solid insert.
2. The device consists of untreated pine or equivalent boards and removable pine boards with smooth grooves (3±0.05) mm wide and (10±0.05) mm deep.
3. 7.3.4 Carpet clamping device and guide rail
The size of the two carpet clamping devices is 1.4m x 0.05m x 0.05m, the mass is 10kg, and the device should ensure that the flowing air does not pass through the cleaning head (see Figure 20). It is recommended that the edge of the unit near the cleaning head be treated to reduce friction.
NOTE: Friction can be reduced by bonding low coefficient of friction tapes.
The gap between the test area on either side of the clamping device and the two sides of the cleaning head is not 2mm.
4. 7.3.5 Dust distributor
The dust distributor is a wheeled plate. The width of the plate is the same as that of the test area and can be moved along the length of the area. In the case of no impact, the plate can move back and forth along the length of the area. Dust is removed from the plate. The holes in the bottom flow out, evenly spilling onto the plate. The moving distance and number of times depend on the test dust and test area.
Vibration can be produced by mounting vibrators or by means of wheels running on right raised rails (as described in Figure 21).
5. Dust buried roller
The diameter of the roller is 50mm and the length is 380mm, which is at least 20mm longer than the width of the cloth ash. The roller is made of steel and polished, and there should be a handle or a motor on the roller to drive the roller to move.
