and the testing standards vary depending on the application field and medium (such as water, gas, oil, etc.).
The following are common international and domestic standards and key points:
1. General standards

-ISO 15649: Pressure testing of pipeline systems in the petroleum and natural gas industry.
-ASME B31 series (such as B31.1, B31.3):
-B31.1 (Power Pipeline): Test pressure ≥ 1.5 times the design pressure, but not exceeding 90% of the material yield strength.
-B31.3 (Process Pipeline): The test pressure is 1.1 to 1.5 times the design pressure, and it needs to be maintained for at least 10 minutes.
Domestic standards
-GB 50235-2010 Construction Code for Industrial Metallic Piping Engineering:
-Hydraulic test: 1.5 times the design pressure (and ≥ 0.6MPa), hold the pressure for 10 minutes, and pass if there is no leakage.
-Air pressure test: 1.15 times the design pressure, gradually increase the pressure (not exceeding 50% per level), and hold the pressure for 10 minutes.
