-Hydraulic test (preferred):

-Medium: Water (rust inhibitor can be added) or non hazardous liquid.   

-Pressure gradient: Slowly increase the pressure to 50% of the test pressure and gradually increase it to the test pressure.   

-Pneumatic test (when hydraulic pressure is not feasible):

-Medium: Air or inert gas, additional safety measures are required (such as installing safety valves).
